I am so excited to become part of the Brookwood family! I graduated from Weber State University in 2014 and my teaching career has already been very exciting. I received a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education specializing in Special Education. My first year teaching was in a technology focused charter school in northern Utah. I love using technology in the classroom! My second year teaching was in rural Montana where I taught students from the Northern Cheyenne and Crow Indian tribes. What an experience! I have grown to love different cultures and styles of teaching on my journey. Most of my experience teaching has been in the 4th grade which I think is the best grade in the world! Part of my teaching philosophy includes focusing on who a student is and what they can become. I do this by focusing on positive behaviors and providing students with opportunities to see their own success. Success builds Success and together we succeed.
Outside the classroom, I am a husband, father, and huge family man. I have a good wife who supports me in everything I do. We met while attending Weber State University. Go Wildcats! I played golf and thought I was pretty cool, she was a nerd and thought she was pretty cool. Well, we make a double cool couple. I grew up in Ogden, Utah but have lived in British Columbia, Canada, and Southeastern Montana. Last year our boy Russell joined the family. He loves everything outside, and everything trucks (He takes after his dad). I enjoy being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and hiking with the family. I also love working on projects, especially cars and anything DIY.
