We are looking forward to the 2016-2017 school year. Fourth grade is an important transition year because it is the first year of the intermediate grades. It is a content-rich year with a greater emphasis on establishing and maintaining the kinds of independent work habits and study skills that are the keys to lifelong success in learning.
We hope to make fourth grade a fun, exciting, and productive year for your student. We will strongly encourage responsibility and good work habits. Study and organizational skills will be of utmost concern. To accomplish our goals, each student is encouraged to use a Brookwood School Planner. Assignments are written daily using the classroom document cameras after instructions have been given; students are expected to write this information in their planners daily. Planners will be provided, students should have their planner each day of class and a parent initial is required daily.
