  3. Cell Tower Update
    1. Corrie was given a blueprint of the plans.
    2. We will have a tree 60-foot cell tower with branches to 64 feet
    3. Sandy is requiring 14 real bushes/shrubs to be planted around the tower.
    4. There will be a 6-foot wall with 1 gated access around the tower with 3 additional sub leasing spaces next to the tree. This structure will be 65 x 25.
    5. T-mobile is the first in
    6. Cell funds currently give us $1521 per month so as SCC isn’t thrilled with the plans, it is a lot of money being brought in and we don’t have much say over what the city has approved.
  4. Financial update:
    1. Cell tower funds will carry over $9000 to next year
    2. Landtrust fund will carry over $5740- which will help with the raises the hourly employees will be receiving (specifically the interventionists, aides, and booster teachers)
    3. TSSA carry over is $2,314
  5. SCC for next year-
    1. Tori, Beau, Katie, Misa, and Amy will be on SCC next year
    2. Applications received from Hadley, Megan, and Derek so an election is not needed
  6. School Safety Report
    1. The big safety concern SCC had was the school subs being informed on school procedures. Meredith is sure to direct new subs to the emergency drills page. Regular subs have been encouraged to get comfortable with the school’s process and where to find the information in their binder.
    2. An idea Corrie has heard is a buddy teacher for subs. This is maybe something worth considering but LETRS training is when we have most of our subs and the whole grade level is gone at the same time which brings a challenge to assigning a sub with a buddy teacher to help when needed.
  7. Brookwood help needed
    1. Brookwood has some positions available for next year. Please see the e-mail that was sent out on May 18 for information on Job openings at Brookwood for next year.
  8. PTA Input
    1. The Lexile Library has been going well. Feedback is parents miss baggie book systems though. First grade has been using Lexile library like a baggie book library where the parents exchange their books for them. Could we do this with 1-3 for next year?
      1. Lexile Library is a trial system and we should make changes where we feel necessary.
    2. Abby adjourned meeting at 8:47, Hadley 2nd
