- Introduction of Council Members
- New members: Jamie, Ann, Kimball, Mitch, Kim
- Elect School Community Council Chair, vice chair, secretary
- Derek nominated Megan as Chair, Corrie 2nd, All in favor
- Ann nominated Hadley as vice chair, Kimball 2nd, All in favor
- By-Laws, Rules of Order Review- can be found on school website
- Review/approval of May minutes
- Megan motioned to approve, Hadley 2nd, all in favor of May min.
- Financial update
- LAND Trust – This year our budget is $59,652.07.
- TSSP – This year our budget is $70,199.
- We did have to cut aide hours. Interventionists will be done the end of March and will work 1-3 hours less a week.
- Cell Tower
- We will bring in $12,750 with a $21,000 carry over.
- Corrie motioned to move $2,000 to the social committee for the faculty to use as needed. Mitch 2nd. All in favor.
- School Fundraiser (Art-A-Palooza)
- Beginning with $26,200, estimating $15,650 of expenses.
- Art-A-Palooza brings in about $16,000 a year.
- Review of School Plans
- LAND Trust/TSSP
- Safe Walking Routes
- Corrie is going to investigate why the right only out of the school during drop off and pick up hours was never addressed by the district.
- Everyone is going to come prepared next meeting with any safe routes issues they observe
- The North parking lot will always be closed to staff only. This is due to increased safety with cars not trying to pull out head on into the pick-up and drop off line on the other side of the island.
- School Safety Plan – this will be discussed at the next meeting
- Digital Citizenship – this will be discussed at the next meeting
- Positive Behavior Plan – This includes red ribbon week, white ribbon week, SafeUT, Digital Citizenship week, service-learning opportunity with Ouelessebougou serving Mali
8. Input from PTA
- PTA is excited for a great year. It was asked if they have enough funds. Some PTAs are hurting this year but we are doing okay.
