Special Consideration for the 2021-2022 School Year

Classroom climate has a tremendous effect on the success of each student.  Because of this, we strive to create groups of students that are balanced in every possible way.  Our teachers have spent many hours with our students in an academic setting and are concerned that each student continues to grow and achieve to the best of their ability in the most positive atmosphere possible.

Several factors are considered as we form classroom groups for next year.  They include:

  1. Range of academic performance
  2. Range of social and behavioral performance
  3. Balance of boys and girls
  4. Balance of dependent and independent workers
  5. Balance of special needs
  6. Separation of students who may not work well together

As in the past, we have provided a “Request for Special Consideration” form that is available online ( Filling out this form should be the exception rather than the rule. This is not a teacher request form, but an opportunity to give us input about your child’s educational setting.  We expect most parents will not feel the need to complete this form.  The Request for Special Consideration forms must be submitted no later than January 30th.
