Attendance & Tardiness / Fourth Grade

Posted in Fourth Grade

In accordance with district policy, teachers will mark and track tardiness.  Tardies will be recorded at 9:00 am.

It is critical that students be in attendance every day. If a student is absent, it is their responsibility to find out what they have missed and make it up for homeroom and rotation classes.  Students have two days following an absence to complete and turn in assignments.  Students must have a signed excuse for absentees and tardiness.

If your child is going to miss school due to a vacation, it is necessary for you to request homework at least one week in advance.  Parents must use the Student Request for Educational Leave form for 3 or more days. This form is available in the office. Gathering the assignments is a great deal of work - your child must complete this work or incomplete marks will be given.

It is recommended that doctor, dentist, and orthodontist appointments be made before or after school whenever possible. If your child is absent or late for class, a written excuse is mandatory.
